Miguel Sosa is the founding partner of Premia Global Advisors, LLC, a private wealth management advisory firm based in South Florida, serving multi-jurisdictional and multi-generational clients.

Previously, Mr. Sosa worked at Merrill Lynch for more than 30 years, most recently in its Private Banking and Investment Group, where he obtained his Global Institutional Consulting (GIC) Designation and served as a qualified Portfolio Manager. He was a member of the firm’s Advisory Council to Management from 2002 to 2005. Recently, Mr. Sosa served as a panelist on the Managing Investments in a Volatile, Low-Yield Environment session at the Global Private Wealth Summit, New York, April 2017.

Prior to joining Merrill Lynch, Mr. Sosa was a member of the U.S. Air Force. During his time of service, he received two Air Force Commendation medals.

He earned his B.A. from the University of Maryland. He holds the Certified Investment Management Analyst^® (CIMA^®) designation.

Mr. Sosa is an active member of his local community. He is currently a Board Member and Chair of the Investment Committee of the Nicklaus Children’s Hospital System. He also serves on the Board of the Archdiocese of Miami Catholic Community Foundation and is a member of its Investment Committee. Previously, he served on the Board of Trustees of St. Philip’s Episcopal School for six years and was its Chairman for three. He also served as a Board Member for a local hospital, Pan American. He is a former President of the local chapter of Legatus, a Catholic lay organization of business leaders in the South Florida community.

Mr. Sosa has a passion for fishing and has fished some of the best waters in the North and South America.

He and his wife, Sadie, have three children, Alex, Katina and Jacqueline.

Ms. Velazquez has more than 25 years of experience in the securities industry, in both the private and regulatory sectors. She previously held senior compliance positions at global and national financial institutions with assets under management in the multi-billion-dollar range and offices throughout the U.S. and Latin America.

She is a former SEC Branch Chief and senior NASD (now FINRA) Field Supervisor/Examiner. She previously held a key compliance role at a large insurance company in New York. She began her career as a registered representative. Ms. Velazquez is a Wharton School of Business Certified Regulatory and Compliance Professional (CRCP) and holds a B.B.A. in International Finance and Marketing from the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida.
